Restaurants around Covent garden/Leicester square
Taking the missus to town Saturday, I'm looking for a not too pricey place. Any recommendations ? Any cuisine really.

O'neills in Soho (opp Chinatown) £8 for fish & chips and mushy peas, ask for a spare plate so you can share the meal with your missus!

There's a tiny website called opentable that you should look at, may have an offer or two that may be of interest.

Go to Jamie's, pick up one of those buzzer things, nip up St Martins Lane to The Salisbury, have a nice little drink, when the buzzer goes get back down to Jamie's for a nosh up, won't cost a fortune, decent food, pleasant service. Sorted.

As already mentioned Jamie Olivers italian serves up decent food at a reasonable price. Usually packed on a Saturday night though. Whilst on the subject of London restaurants what is the big attraction of what is basically a burger bar called 'Five guys'? Every time I walk past that place the queue is out the door and winding down the street.

I'd avoid Joe Allen if your stipulation is "not pricey". Although a very good establishment.

I don't think the tight cunt will care if he has to kill the cow first, Marty, as long as he doesn't have to pay through the nose for it.

Good idea. Plus he can impress his missus by first wrestling a pigeon for the chips.
